The Freedom Trail is a unique collection of museums, churches, meeting houses, burying grounds, parks, a ship, and historic markers that tell the story of the American Revolution and beyond. The Freedom Trail highlights the revolutionary history that took place at 11 of the 16 official Freedom Trail historic sites. The tour starts at the Boston Common Visitor Center at 139 Tremont Street. After visiting the Boston Common, one of the oldest parks in the United States, swing by the Massachusetts State House, located across from Boston Commons. After visiting the seat of government for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, stop by Park Street Church, which is known best for it's role in the anti-slavery movement and as the location where "My Country, 'Tis of Thee" was first sung in 1831.  Right next to Park Street Church is Granary Burying Ground, one of Boston's oldest cemeteries, it is the final resting place of many notable figures, including Paul Revere, John Hanco...
