You could have an eventful day in the City even if you don’t have much money, so in this video, by objective is to put together a fun but inexpensive itinerary. The cheapest way to navigate the city is by walking; this could be tiring but because Manhattan has a lot of sites to offer, you can take pit stops along the way so you don’t have to walk continuously.
The Absolute best thing to do in New York if you are traveling on a budget is walk through Central Park. It is the 5th largest park in the city, covering 843 acres, and is also the most visited urban park in the United States. Not only is it the first public park built in America, but it is also one of the most frequently visited, with over 25 million guests per year. Set in the middle of bustling Manhattan, its grounds serve as a safe haven, not only for athletes, daydreamers, musicians, and strollers but also for teems of migratory birds each year. One can spend an entire peaceful day roaming its grounds, gazing upon nearly 50 fountains, monuments, and sculptures, or admiring its 36 bridges and arches. If you want, you can pack a lunch and have a picnic, so you don’t need to worry about buying expensive food in the city.
Another great place to visit while on a budget is the Rockefeller Center; it is a national historic landmark in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. Rockefeller Center is a large complex consisting of 19 commercial buildings covering 22 acres between 48th Street and 51st Street. Rockefeller Center is known far and wide as one of New York City's most iconic attractions it's where that famous Christmas tree is illuminated, and where Saturday Night Live and the Today show are taped. The plaza is also home to the top of the Rock Observation Deck, NBC Studios, Radio City Music Hall, and much more. Rockefeller Center is free of charge to visit, as long as you just walk around the base floor. You can also ice skate at Rockefeller center, but that might not be in your budget. Top of the Rock three levels of indoor and outdoor observation decks deliver spectacular, unobstructed views of the city skyline, but you must pay to visit.
Times Square is a major commercial intersection, tourist destination, and entertainment hub in Midtown Manhattan. Brightly lit at all hours by numerous digital billboards and advertisements as well as businesses offering 24/7 service, Times Square is sometimes referred to as "the Crossroads of the World", "the Center of the Universe", "the heart of the Great White Way", “the Center of the Entertainment Universe”, and "the heart of the world". One of the world's busiest pedestrian areas, and the hub of the Broadway theatre district, and a major center of the world's entertainment industry. Times Square is one of the world's most visited tourist attractions, drawing an estimated 50 million visitors annually. Times Square offers tons of shopping opportunities at stores like the M&M store, Hershey’s Chocolate World, as well as numerous restaurants and bars with varying prices. The best part about visiting Times Square is that you get awesome views of the city for free.

This itinerary did not include the expenses to travel to commute out to the city nor did it include the cost of food. I took the NJ Transit out to the city, so I didn’t have to spend money on Parking.
