Light Rail vehicles are typically tram-like, running on tracks laid on the street or in dedicated lanes. They are powered by overhead wires. Passengers can board Light Rail vehicles at designated stops/stations along the route. These stops are marked by signs indicating the station name and route numbers served. Passengers can pay fares using the Octopus Card, a contactless smart card widely used for public transportation and retail purchases in Hong Kong. Fares are deducted electronically upon tapping the Octopus Card on the card reader at the Light Rail station. Each Light Rail vehicle displays its route number and destination on the front and sides. Tin Shui Wai Light Rail

The stops in Tin Shui Wai are located at Ping Shan and Tong Fong Tseung, which are a part of the Ping Shan Heritage Trail, you can access Light Rail lines 610, 614, 615, 761P from there as well as MTR Bus Route K65, which goes to Lau Fau Shan. a fishing village renowned for its oysters and fresh seafood. You can catch lines 751 and 761P from Hang Mei Tseun and there is also a bus stop for MTR Bus K65, K65A, which also goes to Lau Fau Shan. From Tin Yiu, Locwood, and Tin Shui stops, you can catch lines 705, 706, and 761P, which cross over to Yuen Long. The Tin Shui Wai stop of the Light Rail is located inside Tuen Ma line Tin Shui, you can take lines 705, 706, 751, 751P from there. There are also buses you can take the the MTR station, including K65, K65A, K75A, K75S, K76, K76S. Other Light stops in Tin Shui Wai are Tin Wu, tin Tsz, Ginza, and Tin Wing; you can access light rail lines 705, 706, 751, 751P from those stops. You can access lines 705, 706, 751, 751P, and 761P from stops in Chung Fu, Tin Fu, and Tin Yat. Routes 705 and 706 extend all the way through Hong Kong Wetland Park to Tin Yuet. 

Ping Shan Heritage Trail

This station is served by the West Rail Line (Tuen Ma Line) of the MTR.  Look for the Light Rail Transit (LRT) station adjacent to Tin Shui Wai Station. Take Light Rail Route 705 (to Tin Sau Station) or Route 706 (to Wetland Park Station). Both routes stop at the Hong Kong Wetland Park. 

Yuen Long—Tin Shui Wai

Besides taking the MTR, via the West Rail Line (now part of the Tuen Ma Line) from Yuen Long Station to Tin Shui Wai Station, a more direct route to travel within the New Territories is by Light Rail. If you prefer a more direct route within the New Territories, you can take the Light Rail Transit. You can catch the LRT from Yuen Long Station. Look for the LRT terminus nearby or follow signs within the station to access the Light Rail platform. Board the appropriate LRT route that will take you to Tin Shui Wai. Depending on the specific route, the journey can take around 15-20 minutes. The Route from Yuen Long to Tin Shui Wai and vise versa is 761P. 

Yuen Long Light Rail

The Yuen Long Light Rail is a branch of the Hong Kong Light Rail system, serving the Yuen Long area in the northwest New Territories of Hong Kong. Yuen Long is a bustling district with a mix of residential, commercial, and industrial areas. The Yuen Long Light Rail consists of several routes that connect different parts of Yuen Long with other areas served by the broader Light Rail network. These routes include the 610, 614, 615, 761P, and 761P. The Light Rail system plays a crucial role in providing transportation for residents commuting within Yuen Long and connecting them to other parts of the New Territories, including Tuen Mun and Tin Shui Wai. The Light Rail stations in Yuen Long are typically located within walking distance of residential complexes, markets, shopping centers, and other amenities, providing convenient access for passengers. The system operates primarily with light rail vehicles (LRVs), offering frequent and reliable service throughout the day. The Shui Ping Wai stop has access to Light rail lines 610, 614, 615, 761P and you can also change to MTR Bus K65. Fung Nin Road also has access to Light rail lines 610, 614, 615, 761P, but it has more bus routes available: such as K65, K66, K66A, K68, K73, K74. Hong Lok Road and Tai Tong Road have access to the same light rail lines, and bus lines. Yuen Long MTR station is the Final station of the Yulight rail line; it belongs to the West Rail Line (Tuen Ma Line) of the MTR) and you can also take Bus K65 to Lau Fau Shan from there as well. 

Yuen Long Old Market Building

The market building is within walking distance from these Light Rail stops. 

Kam Tin Walled Village

Kam Tin Walled Village dates back to the early Qing Dynasty, with its origins traced to the 17th century. Tuen Mun-Tin Shui Wai

Depending on your location in Tuen Mun, you can reach one of the Tuen Mun Light Rail stations. Tuen Mun has several light rail stations, including Tuen Mun Ferry Pier, Tuen Mun Town Centre, and others. One route you could take is Light Rail Route 505 from the Tuen Men Ferry Pier to the Tin Shui Wai Town Center. The journey via light rail typically takes around 20-25 minutes, depending on the specific route and any possible delays. Another route you could take is Route 614 or 615; these routes are both Tuen Mun and Tin Shui Wai. Ideally, you want to take the light rail to the station that will connect to other forms of Transportation, so the Tin Shui Wai Light Rail terminus is the best option, as it is connected to its MTR station.

Tuen Mun Light Rail

Tuen Mun has several light rail stations scattered throughout the district. These stations include Tuen Mun Ferry Pier, Tuen Mun Town Centre, Siu Lun, and others. Depending on your location in Tuen Mun, you can reach the nearest light rail station by walking or taking a bus. The Tuen Mun Light Rail operates on multiple routes, each identified by a unique number. These routes cover various parts of Tuen Mun and nearby areas such as Tin Shui Wai and Yuen Long. It's essential to know which route you need to take to reach your destination. The main light rail lines that operate within Tuen Mun are 507, 610, 614, 615, and 751; These are the primary light rail lines within Tuen Mun, providing convenient transportation for residents and visitors to travel within the district and to nearby areas like Yuen Long and Tin Shui Wai. Each line serves different stations and routes, offering passengers various options for their journeys. Light Rail line 507 operates between Tuen Mun Ferry Pier and Yuen Long, passing through Tuen Mun Town Centre, Siu Lun, and other stations. Light Rail Line 610 runs from Sam Shing to Yuen Long, serving stations such as Tuen Mun Hospital, Tuen Mun Town Centre, and Tin Heng. Light Rail line 614 operates between Tuen Mun Ferry Pier and Tin Shui Wai Town Centre, passing through stations like Tuen Mun Hospital, Tuen Mun Town Centre, and Tin King. The Light Rail line 615 runs from Tuen Mun Ferry Pier to Tin Shui Wai Town Centre, with stops at Tuen Mun Hospital, Tuen Mun Town Centre, and Tin King. Light Rail line 751 connects Tin Yat to Yuen Long, passing through Tuen Mun Town Centre, Light Rail Depot, and other stations.

Tuen Mun Town Centre

Tuen Mun Ferry Pier

Tuen Mun Ferry Pier is a public pier located in the southern area of Tuen Mun, Hong Kong; it has an MTR Light Rail stop adjacent to the pier along with a bus terminus for convenient transportation back into the city center. The Ocean Walk shopping center, above the transportation hub, is managed by MTR Corporation. Pierhead Garden is the private housing estate above the shopping center and transportation hub. Tuen Mun Ferry Pier has ferry service to Lantau Island, Macau, as well as Zhuhai, Shekou, and Zhenzhen in Mainland China.
